Join Chika as she presents recent works of drawing and sculpture and takes you through a practical sculpture workshop based on key concepts of her practice.

Gillian Appleby (BA&D) is a painter and illustrator who studied at Ideas School in Hawke’s Bay and currently resides in Auckland. Gillian works with oil paint and graphite to create soft focus enigmatic portraits and dream-like imagery. In this creative workshop you will experiment with using pencil powder to create a free-form drawing and then use this to inspire and build an imaginative illustration of your own.

No matter what your skill level, you’ll go home with an original painting to be proud of.
